I believe I have found a portion of my tree I have been looking for.  It appears that the name Absolam in my family is beholden to Absolam Pugh.  My grandfather John Absolam Barton descendant of John Edward Barton of Southampton married Emma Pugh.  Her father is to blame!!!!!
