I've decided I won't make it publicly editable, it's too restricted for me if I do I that way. There is of course a bit of self-centered thing to it but I don't want it become an obsession for me or anyone, and also I do want to encourage everyone to do the same and then we're supposed to be able to connect up the various family trees. Which I think is a nice way to provide our extended distributed family with reminders of who we are and where we've come from and also a means to stay in touch regularly, exchanging details etc, having gatherings...
