At the beginning of January Carla, Michelle, Frank, Katie, April and I got together for our 2nd meeting. This time, Katie and I concentrated on taking pictures of Grandpa WILLIAMS belongings left in the trunk (I'll get them posted to the website shortly) while Frank, Carla, Michelle and April sorted through Aunt Debbie's belongings and pictures. I also captured the information from Carla's family tree scroll.

Of course during this time, we all shared stories, tried to remember facts about family members and learned a lot about each other and the family we've lost.

I think one of the most memorable items for me was watching Michelle's reactions when she found out about family stuff that the rest of us just took for granted.

Our next meeting (#3) will be at Carla's again on April 12, 2009. This time, we are going to each bring a photot album so that we can help Carla preserve the hundred's of pictures she has.

Hi everyone,

Carla, April, Katie and I were able to get together yesterday to go through some of Grandpa Lawrence Williams things.

We founds lots and lots of paperwork and pictures grandpa had kept over the years. Just some of the items include a deed for a house that he owned on Hoffer Street in Banning (I actually remember this pink house and remember living there for a short period) and several vehicle registration forms for cars and motorcycles he had owned.

Another exciting find was a memorial and sign in book for grandma Ethel's funeral in 1966. Along with these books were a few glass bottles of medicine that she had been taken shortly before her passing.

We also found all kinds of paperwork associated different jobs grandpa Larry had held over the years. April was able to identify some of the paperwork as calculations grandpa has but together for a tool he was making to help build rocket engines. Awesome job April!
